Build the account the world moves to.

Alpha is a small founding team, remote first, with Cayman as home. We hire people who have shipped, who write clearly, and who would rather be judged on the product than the slide deck.

Chief Technology OfficerRemote · founding team · equity

What you'll own. The whole stack: the shielded ledger on a public blockchain, the proving circuits that run on customers' phones, passkey security, the apps, and the partner integrations for cards and local money. You'll take the architecture that exists today to launch, then run engineering as it grows.

What you bring. You've shipped systems that hold other people's money or secrets and slept at night. Deep in at least two of: zero-knowledge proofs, smart-contract security, cryptographic key management, mobile. You've led a team through a launch and an incident. You can explain a circuit to a regulator and a product decision to a customer.

How we work. Written design before code, independent review before merge, published audits before launch. Small team, high trust, no theatre.

Chief Compliance OfficerCayman or remote · founding team · equity

What you'll own. Alpha's licensing and compliance programme from first filing to launch and beyond: Cayman registration and the regulator relationship, customer verification and screening, the lawful-request process that needs several keyholders, sanctions, and the policies our partners will audit. You'll be the MLRO and the voice of the regulator inside the company.

What you bring. You've run compliance at a licensed money business or a regulated digital-asset firm and dealt with a regulator directly. You know the Cayman framework or can learn it fast, and you understand what a privacy-preserving ledger changes and what it doesn't. You write policies people actually follow.

How we work. Compliance is a design input, not a gate at the end. You'll sit in product reviews and have a veto.

Operations ManagerRemote · first operations hire · equity

What you'll own. Everything that has to work for customers and partners every day: card operations, local-money partners, customer support and its playbooks, vendor contracts, the device benchmarking programme, and the internal tools the team runs on. You'll build the operations function from nothing.

What you bring. Three or more years running operations at a fintech, exchange or fast-growing startup. You've managed partners and support queues, you're numerate, you automate what repeats, and you're calm when something breaks at 2 a.m. in a time zone you've never visited.

How we work. You'll report to the founder, hire your first teammates within the year, and have real authority over how things run.

Chief Legal OfficerCayman or remote · founding team · equity

What you'll own. Alpha's legal position in every market it opens: the Cayman entity and licensing strategy, the account terms customers actually read, the $AG rewards programme, partner contracts for cards and local money, data protection, intellectual property, and the legal design of the lawful-request process. You'll be the counterpart to the compliance officer: they run the programme, you decide what the law lets us promise.

What you bring. A qualified lawyer with eight or more years across financial regulation and digital assets, including time in-house at a licensed money business or exchange. You've opened a product in more than one jurisdiction and negotiated with card and banking partners. You write terms a customer can understand and a regulator can approve.

How we work. You'll sit in product reviews from the first design, not the last. Outside counsel reports to you; the founder relies on you.

Senior Cryptography Engineer (Zero-Knowledge)Remote · engineering · equity

What you'll own. The proofs that make Alpha private: the circuits that seal a payment on a customer's phone, the proving performance that decides whether that takes a fraction of a second or ten, and the audits that let us publish them. You'll take the first circuit to production and own the proving stack after it.

What you bring. You've shipped zero-knowledge circuits that real users depend on, in at least one of Circom, Noir, Halo2 or a comparable system, and you've had them audited. You care about constraint counts, mobile prover memory and the difference between "sound" and "sound enough". You can read a security proof and write one.

Senior Protocol Engineer (Smart Contracts)Remote · engineering · equity

What you'll own. The ledger itself: the contracts that hold every customer's dollars, enforce the rules nobody can override, prove holds equal owes every block, and run recovery, limits and the lawful-request process. Immutable code, so it has to be right the first time.

What you bring. Five or more years of Solidity in production with meaningful value at stake, formal verification or invariant testing as a habit rather than a phase, and experience taking contracts through independent audits. You've been through an incident and can tell us what you changed afterwards.

Senior Mobile EngineerRemote · engineering · equity

What you'll own. The app people will judge Alpha by: iOS first, Android close behind. Passkeys and Face ID, the on-device prover, offline-safe payment flows, the card, statements, and the feel of it, down to the last animation. You'll work from the prototype that exists today and make it real.

What you bring. You've shipped a consumer finance app with real money in it, in Swift and ideally Kotlin too. You know passkeys, Secure Enclave and keychain in detail, you obsess over frame rates and first-launch time, and you've handled a 1-star review by fixing the thing.

Security EngineerRemote · engineering · equity

What you'll own. Everything that could go wrong: key management and the HSM setup for the compliance key, infrastructure hardening, the bug bounty, incident response, partner security reviews, and the independent audits before launch. You'll be the person who tries to break Alpha before anyone else does.

What you bring. A track record in application or infrastructure security at a company that held money or secrets, hands-on with threat modelling, cloud hardening and cryptographic key custody, and the writing skill to turn a finding into a fix the team actually ships.

Head of Customer SupportRemote · first support hire · equity

What you'll own. Every conversation a customer has with Alpha: the help centre, in-app support, the playbooks for lost devices, recovery, disputes and frozen cards, the tooling, and the metrics. You'll design support for a product where staff cannot see a customer's balance, which changes everything about how help works.

What you bring. You've run support at a fintech, exchange or consumer app through growth, in more than one language and time zone. You've built a team from the first hire, you write clearly, and you treat a complaint as a product bug with a name attached.

Payments Partnerships LeadRemote · equity

What you'll own. The partners that connect Alpha to the rest of the world: card issuing and the card network, local-money on-ramps and off-ramps in each country we open, verification providers, and the commercial terms behind them. You'll run the selection, negotiation, integration and ongoing performance of each one, country by country.

What you bring. Five or more years in payments partnerships, card programme management or banking-as-a-service, with deals you can point to. You know how interchange, scheme fees and FX margins actually work, and you can read a partner's API docs as well as their contract.

Apply: careers@alpha.com.ky
Fraud & Risk LeadRemote · equity

What you'll own. Keeping customers' money safe from everyone but themselves: card fraud rules, account-takeover defences, screening at onboarding, the rolling-limits model, dispute handling, and the risk reporting partners and regulators ask for. You'll build this on a ledger where the usual tool, reading every transaction, doesn't exist, and find the better ways that do.

What you bring. You've run fraud or risk at a card issuer, exchange or neobank and own the numbers to show for it. You're analytical, you've worked with rules engines and models, and you understand that false positives cost customers as surely as fraud does.
